A handmade timber armchair for people who like to sit back, spread out and let the wood do the supporting.
The Single Laid-Back Armchair has a relaxed slatted back, a generous seat and a broad live-edge head rail with its bark still on.
A little rough around the edges.
Firm where it matters.
And considerably more interesting than anything flat-packed.
The wide armrests give you somewhere solid to put your hands, your drink or your elbows while the reclined back does most of the work.
Basically, you get comfortable and the chair takes it from there.
Diagonal side bracing keeps everything reassuringly rigid.
Because nobody wants unexpected movement once they’ve settled into position.

It has absolutely no interest in pretending otherwise.

Perfect for a garden corner, outside a cabin, beside a fire, with a morning coffee, evening drink or while watching somebody else bend over and do the gardening.

UK delivery is included in the price.
If you’re in North Wales, we’ll usually bring it to you ourselves. Further afield, we’ll arrange the best way of getting it to you safely — pallet, courier, van, or whatever makes most sense for the piece.
Some of the larger and more gloriously awkward creations may need a little extra organising, particularly if you’re a long way from us, but we’ll sort that with you directly.
Collection is always welcome too.

Sizes, materials and framing
Print sizes: A4 is 21 × 29.7 cm, A3 is 29.7 × 42 cm, A2 is 42 × 59.4 cm and A1 is 59.4 × 84.1 cm. Prints are produced on heavyweight art paper and signed, titled and numbered in pencil.
Framed prints are mounted, so the finished frame is larger than the print size. Frames are available in gold, light wood or dark wood on most designs; ask if you need exact external dimensions for a particular spot.
Glassware is painted by hand and kiln-fired. Hand wash to keep it looking its best.
Delivery and returns
Delivery and returns
Delivery: standard tracked UK delivery is free on everything in the art shop. An express option is available at checkout. We currently ship within the UK only; get in touch if you're overseas and we'll see what we can do.
Dispatch: prints and in-stock glass leave the studio within a few working days. Made-to-order glass, pet portraits and originals take longer, and we'll confirm a date with you.
Returns: stock items can be returned within 30 days. Personalised and commissioned pieces can't be returned for a change of mind, but anything faulty or damaged in transit will be replaced or refunded. Full details in our returns policy.
