THE HOT CORNER

Corner seating with integrated wood burner

From £3,950 — burner and flue included

Big. Warm. Wooden. Built for people who like to sit close.

The Hot Corner is a substantial handmade timber seating arrangement wrapped around a real wood-burning stove — because sometimes a bench just isn’t enough, and sometimes you want a bit of heat between your legs.

The burner sits right at the heart of the design, with generous seating around it, high slatted backs, and enough room for friends, drinks, questionable conversations and evenings that were definitely only meant to last an hour.

Chunky timber, real fire, proper support.

No flimsy little seats.
No disappointing wobble.
No going cold halfway through.

The central timber section bridges over the burner area, while the flue rises neatly through the rear.

Long, straight and hot.

Behave.

Each one is handmade, so the timber, finish, dimensions and smaller details can be adapted to suit where it’s going.

Gardens. Terraces. Glamping sites. Retreats. Holiday accommodation. Pubs.

Basically anywhere people might enjoy sitting outside with some good wood and getting progressively warmer.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

The price includes the complete setup shown in the visuals:

  • Handmade timber corner seating

  • Wood-burning stove

  • Flue and standard flue components

  • Appropriate non-combustible protection around the burner area

  • Standard timber finishing and preparation

  • Assembly of the complete unit

So yes — the burner is included.

And yes — you get the flue too.

We’re not going to show you a big impressive pipe in the photos and then tell you it costs extra.

The exact stove and flue arrangement may vary slightly depending on availability and the installation location, while keeping the overall look and character of the design.

APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS

Rear width: 2400 mm
Overall depth: 2000 mm
Side seating runs: approximately 1600 mm
Seat height: approximately 500 mm
Overall back height: approximately 850 mm
Central burner opening: approximately 800 mm

Need it longer? Deeper? Wider?

We’ve heard worse requests.

Dimensions can be adapted for individual commissions.

MATERIALS

Built from reclaimed, locally sourced and naturally characterful timber wherever practical.

Knots, grain, scars, nail marks, colour changes and the occasional unusually shaped bit of wood are all welcome.

Perfectly smooth and completely predictable isn’t really our thing.

Good wood should have a bit of character.

FIRE, FLUE & PROTECTION

The burner area is designed with appropriate separation from combustible timber, ventilation and non-combustible protection.

Because while we like things hot, we also like them safe.

Final stove position, flue arrangement and clearances are confirmed for the individual installation before manufacture.

And yes, the wood gets protection too.

Suitable finishes can be applied depending on where and how you intend to use it.

Because if you’re going to be outside, getting hot and handling a lot of wood, protection is generally considered sensible.

Any unusual site requirements — specialist chimney work, unusually long flue runs or major ground preparation — will be discussed and priced before work begins.

No nasty surprises afterwards.

Unless you specifically commission one.

MADE WOOD LOVE

Handmade. One-off. Built around the place and the people using it.

Big wood.

Real fire.

Plenty of room to get close.

Sit close. Stay longer.

Good company gets warmer.

Delivery

UK delivery is included in the price.

If you’re in North Wales, we’ll usually bring it to you ourselves. Further afield, we’ll arrange the best way of getting it to you safely — pallet, courier, van, or whatever makes most sense for the piece.

Some of the larger and more gloriously awkward creations may need a little extra organising, particularly if you’re a long way from us, but we’ll sort that with you directly.

Collection is always welcome too.

At the moment, we deliver within the UK only.

Sizes, materials and framing

Print sizes: A4 is 21 × 29.7 cm, A3 is 29.7 × 42 cm, A2 is 42 × 59.4 cm and A1 is 59.4 × 84.1 cm. Prints are produced on heavyweight art paper and signed, titled and numbered in pencil.

Framed prints are mounted, so the finished frame is larger than the print size. Frames are available in gold, light wood or dark wood on most designs; ask if you need exact external dimensions for a particular spot.

Glassware is painted by hand and kiln-fired. Hand wash to keep it looking its best.

Delivery and returns

Delivery: standard tracked UK delivery is free on everything in the art shop. An express option is available at checkout. We currently ship within the UK only; get in touch if you're overseas and we'll see what we can do.

Dispatch: prints and in-stock glass leave the studio within a few working days. Made-to-order glass, pet portraits and originals take longer, and we'll confirm a date with you.

Returns: stock items can be returned within 30 days. Personalised and commissioned pieces can't be returned for a change of mind, but anything faulty or damaged in transit will be replaced or refunded. Full details in our returns policy.
