A one-off, handmade corner bench created for Archie—and possibly the only garden bench with its own command centre.

Built into the bench is a self-contained battery system powered by a 200-watt solar setup, Bluetooth speakers and mobile-phone charging points concealed inside a hidden wooden drawer.

There are also two novelty-labelled 12-volt cigarette-lighter controls: one marked EJECT and the other FIRE MISSILE. Neither will actually launch anyone or destroy the neighbour’s shed, but both make sitting in the garden considerably more entertaining.

The raised live-edge corner shelf provides plenty of room for drinks, phones and other important equipment. The electrical module is removable for storage and maintenance.
