Six barn swallows, all going somewhere in a hurry. This is the print people ask for most, and I think it's because swallows are pure movement: you never see one sitting still for long, so I didn't paint them that way. The original was painted in acrylic on hessian, and the warm weave of the cloth shows through in the print and does a lot of the work.

What you get

  • A signed, titled and numbered limited-edition print on heavyweight art paper
  • Unframed, or framed in the studio in gold, light wood or dark wood with a cream mount
  • Edition sizes: A4 limited to 500, A3 to 200, A2 and A1 to 100 each

Sizes

A4 is 21 × 29.7 cm, A3 is 29.7 × 42 cm, A2 is 42 × 59.4 cm and A1 is 59.4 × 84.1 cm. A4 and A3 suit a shelf or a smaller wall; A2 and A1 are proper statement pieces. Framed prints are mounted, so the frame is larger than the print size.

Standard tracked UK delivery is free. If you'd like the swallows on glass instead, that's a commission and I'd love to talk about it.

Sizes, materials and framing

Print sizes: A4 is 21 × 29.7 cm, A3 is 29.7 × 42 cm, A2 is 42 × 59.4 cm and A1 is 59.4 × 84.1 cm. Prints are produced on heavyweight art paper and signed, titled and numbered in pencil.

Framed prints are mounted, so the finished frame is larger than the print size. Frames are available in gold, light wood or dark wood on most designs; ask if you need exact external dimensions for a particular spot.

Glassware is painted by hand and kiln-fired. Hand wash to keep it looking its best.
