Behold the breathtaking beauty of 'Study of Swallows,' a stunning painting by the talented artist Jack Fetherstonhaugh. This captivating piece captures the essence of these graceful birds in a way that is both vibrant and dynamic. The image features six swallows, each painted in a unique pose and adorned in a striking combination of blue, red, white, and black. As you gaze upon the canvas, you can almost feel the motion of the birds as they soar across the sky. The swallow, or 'barn swallow', is a common summer visitor, arriving in April and leaving in October.  Swallows are widespread and common birds of farmland and open pasture near water. They are agile fliers and feed on flying insects. In the winter they migrate back to  Africa and can be seen gathering to roost in wetlands, particularly reed beds.
